As British Columbia’s largest not-for-profit food exchange program, Quest offers accessibility to affordable healthy and nutritious food options for those facing barriers to this basic necessity of life, especially children and elders throughout the lower mainland. The 2013 Canadian Hunger Count Report indicated 29.5% of B.C. children rely on the Food Bank for nourishment. Fresh fruits and vegetable produce are a commodity that is highly valued at Quest in order to meet the daily nutritional needs of these individuals. The collaboration, support and positive contribution of the BCPMA is instrumental and paramount in achieving our mission of reducing hunger with dignity. We are grateful for the generosity, dedication, support and kindness the BCPMA in helping Quest receive the abundance of produce required to nourish the community families and individuals in need.
